Médecins du Monde (Doctors of the World) is a program that provides free medical assistance worldwide.  Other artists who have executed work on its behalf include Pierre Alechinsky, Balthus, Alighiero e Boetti, Louise Bourgeois, Sandro Chia, Eduardo Chillida, Enzo Cucchi, Braco Dimitrijevic, Eric Fischl, Ana Mercedes Hoyos, Paul Jenkins, Alex Katz, Roberto Matta, Mimmo Paladino, Jaume Plensa, Robert Rauschenberg, James Rosenquist, Mimmo Rotella, Jose Maria Sicilia, Antoni Tapies, Bernar Venet, and Tom Wesselmann.

The collection has been exhibited extensively worldwide between 1994 and 2000, and a set was donated to the Samuels Clinic (HIV-AIDS center for comprehensive care), St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital center, New York, where it remains on permanent display.
